There are two sensitive areas for plants to light waves
Blue light 400 ~ 520nm-plays an extremely important role in the growth of plant leaves and roots, the plant stems irradiated by blue light are short and thick.
1. Red light 610 ~ 720nm-conducive to the growth of stems, and promote the flowering of plants.
2. So the conclusion is basically that the light source colors needed for plant growth are blue and red.
The ratio of blue and red light
The red light is the main energy source for plant photosynthesis, and the blue light helps the synthesis of chlorophyll. If there is no blue light, it will cause abnormal plant morphology.
Among them, the ratio of red and blue light between 5:1 and 10:1 is most beneficial to plant growth.
For cabbage, lettuce and other leafy vegetables, it is found that the effect of white light plus red light is better than red and blue light.
In addition, appropriately increasing the purple light and red light, they can play a disinfection and sterilization effect, and make plants grow healthier. There are also some plant lights that increase white light, but ordinary white light is not as good as full-spectrum light, because full-spectrum light contains more light waves, similar to sunlight, which is beneficial to the synthesis of certain vitamins and minerals in plants, and it is more tasty.
